Priorat – rocky hills, terraced vineyards and picturesque villages in Spain

The Priorat is a small area in Catalonia in northern Spain, about 100 kilometers south of Barcelona, just inland from Tarragona. People sometimes call it the Tuscany of Spain because of its stunning landscapes and picturesque villages. It boasts many restaurants serving excellent Catalan food and some of the best wine in the world. There are also a lot of photogenic cats.
